It's a challenge for Australia to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and once went 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a team that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowlers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It is hard for their hitters to hold a record if never given the opportunity.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting a platform to deliver her latest masterpiece.

Initially recognized as the 19-year-old niece of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her country failed to win either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has seen it all through 15 championship-filled years since.

A T20 championship victory came three months after her first appearance and seven international trophies have resulted from 10 attempts across formats.

The tough gloveman was also there in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final defeat by India briefly halted the successful run.

That loss "motivated us to rethink our standards," Healy said this week.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the title decider and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not come up short.

If this latest epic knock topped that previous effort can be debated.

Certain people claim the case for the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was considerably tougher to see coming.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 happened while she topped the run-scoring charts, but this performance came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"If you've observed me in training, it was a challenging time because it appeared I've had no rhythm completely," commented Healy.

"But once you take the field, your fighting spirit take over and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's competitive nature has always been her major advantage - and an irreplaceable characteristic in replacing famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in the previous month's ODI series, out to the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but here that only provided Healy's motivation.

A single was taken off Gaud's first delivery and from there the batsman was in motion.

"The possibility to take the field and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that regard, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 balls as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three big hits.

By the time she was removed the team needed 66 additional runs at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the belief to do that now," continued Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if we do, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the last Australia's opponents at this championship need to hear.

During the last week a sense they will win from any position has only strengthened - this victory following success over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a match against old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

During that phase they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a major tournament.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated despite the injury.

Yet even as she later admitted those injuries have postponed consideration of ending her career, this championship is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as captain.

Triumph in India would bring her to the top of her last major obstacle.
